I am an asssitant professor of College of Computing at Grand Valley State University. My research lies at the intersection of visualization and artificial intelligence, which includes using machine learning to handle large data, increase the efficiency of visualization, and using visualization to understand and diagnose machine learning models. I am also insterested in the application of neural networks in computer graphics. I received my Ph.D in computer science from GRAVITY lab at The Ohio State University in 2024 and BS in Psychology from Beijing Normal University.
I like spending my free time building and painting plastic model kits—mostly tanks, but also some aircraft and ships. I’m into history books, and I also enjoy playing badminton and board games with family and friends.
